Susan Church about arriving in Stevenage on the back of a moving truck

The day we moved we came on the back of the removal van.  I remember it vividly.  Sitting on the back.  Wouldn’t allow that now would they?  With the birdcage on my lap.  And someone had a cat in a box we brought a cat and a bird with us.  Yeah I actually yeah I really do remember it. All the stuff went in a removal lorry typical removal lorry you know and I think my dad sat in the front. We didn’t have a car then so we would’ve yeah we didn’t have a car when we came to Stevenage. He sat in the front with the removal men and me, my stepsister and step mum were on the back. She must have had the cat, my step mum.  I had the birdcage. Yeah I’ve never forgotten it.
