Transcript:

Dickinsons, for a while, I was in the factory on the machines, there seven years and I was ten years in the catering business, I loved it there, I didn’t want to leave. Then I went to the Addressograph, where my husband was working. I worked in Reliants, the rubber company, for hot water bottles, that was quite good. I was never out of work, but I never stayed in any job too long, until I went to Brockebourns?, where I went in 1971, it’s not there now, and I stayed there seventeen years. Oh, and I worked in Timothy Whites, that was nice as well but I was only there six years. I was the cashier, I was in the gardening section, you know it sold everything, sort of thing, like Boots does now, but that was a good job as well but I went to Brockebourns? because it was two pounds more, two pound a week more, that was good then.
