We never had no television of course, but I had a knitting machine I used to do all my knitting up in the spare room. I used to buy a lot of floral dresses, new look style, we wore them but I always had floral dresses, always. I never wore anything plain. We never thought what to do, we used to do gardening and my husband had his shed down the bottom of the garden, so he got to do all his little things. He used to make little things, you know, for the house.
