And then of course Bill Haley hit the scene in ’59 and it came to every cinema. They never had it in Stevenage, I had to travel out to Welwyn, Old Welwyn to a cinema there. It’s no longer there, it has been gone years, but I can remember crowds of people going over there and there was hundreds outside just couldn’t get in on the night. I managed to get in with a friend of mine and I had a new Teddy Boy suit made for the occasion. We stood in there with everybody else and waited for the adverts to finish, the advertising films and then as soon as Bill Haley started up, literally the whole cinema got up and started dancing and that’s where we, we danced right through the film never saw much of the film at all, just danced right through it.
