Mrs Nunn talks of the circumstances which brought her and her family to Stevenage from Wanstead.

Mrs Nunn talks about why her family moved out of London, and how the war and work helped to effect this decision.

Well we had quite a big house in London, in Wanstead, we lived in Wanstead and we did get bombed along the same turning, we did get bombed and we lost everything at the time, this was in the forties, early forties, of course at the beginning of the war. But we got bombed and lost everything but after the war we went back to Wanstead again because my father liked that area and he’d got this place during the war while we were evacuated, he got this house in Wanstead but as I say this factory was moving down to Stevenage and he did like the county my father so we all came down to Stevenage.
