Interviewer: Going back to the town itself how did you feel about the Town Centre when it was finally finished?
Ann: Delighted! Delighted, yes. I wish the council still owned it and it wasn’t in the private enterprise, yes I was delighted, because you know coming from London that is the one thing that I did miss was the shops and I really thought it was great. I know my son, middle son Michael, he used to come down with me Saturday morning and he’d go through Sainsbury’s like a wiz you know, picking out everything he wanted, yes it was, is a great thing. I think it’s very, now you see, I find it very difficult to walk but I can go to the town centre and I can be dropped off at the store and I can get my shopping. And that is a great thing for me to be able to do, you see.
