I want to see Stevenage developing along the lines where we began, I haven’t got a crystal ball, I can’t look into the year 2050, I’d like to be around then to see what it’s like I won’t be. I want to see Stevenage retain its humanity; it’s care for one and other. I want it of course to have full employment potential which again is something evolve changes they evolution of working patterns and people have to work you know work sharing, shorter working week, earlier retirement I don’t know, I don’t think that the old established working patterns will return. Therefore we are looking in so far as we are a high tech town it should be that we must benefit, from the benefits high techs bring, that our children, particularly second generation well they are, well obviously some of them are out of work but there is a lot of them in work, I want their children to have opportunities to be able to live a good and useful way of life I want our quality of live preserved and improved. As an early comer to the town I want the name of Stevenage always to be the forefront, and to the front and doing the things which are necessary on the social and economic front
